New speeding cameras are installed on Glisan and Burnside
Where does money from those fines go?
Actually active now. We were in 30 day period
Pedestrian island placed on Glisan for greenway
State of Oregon extended limit of 10% cap on rent raises for 2025. Only for residences.
Another note to have a liason from PPB. Officer Meely is off shift at our meeting times but perhaps another officer in the precinct.
The Landuse Committee should organize a public and recurring meeting time.
Extended an invite from PEMO to attend bi-weekly meetings
SE 89th near Berrydale Park. Street has become unsafe after some street maintenance. Will connect with someone PBOT.

Good Neighbor Agreement
We have continued to work with JOHS and the city and we are getting closer to finalize the agreement.
We hope to have an agreement ready for board approval by December
We are waiting on the City to provide more information on the “engagement zones” and the services they will provide.
There will be a call for volunteers to the Community Advisory Committee that will meet with Straightway, the city, and JOHS to help resolve community issues.
Construction has started at the site and aims to be completed by the end of the year
Reminder to the MNA that there is an additional site planned at 82nd and Mill and that JOHS will begin doing community outreach soon.
We have talked with JOHS about including language in the GNA that limits additional sites in the Montavilla neighborhood.
Communications and Outreach
We are still hoping to implement our new MNA brand but just need to free up bandwidth.
It would be helpful to have additional members on the committee who can contribute. Especially designers and writers.
Steph Cleary is interested in joining and contributing.
Old Business
By-Law Proposal Presentation

The proposed changes are happening to ensure they are up-to-date with current processes and to provide clarity around membership and election eligibility. The last update was in 2015.
Group seemed in agreement with proposed changes.
Elections
Elections will be held next month following the changes to the bylaws.
We are still looking for members to join the board. Those interested can send an email to spencer or the MNA email address.
New Business
SE Uplift Grants
Grant applications are due November 3rd. There is a lot of money up for grabs that can be used to help the community and the MNA.
The communications grant is also due in December.
