Arbor behind Clark is in disrepair
New tags for trees were created for Berrydale
There will be a welcome event on May 19th with games and free maple trees
GNA Committee Update
Moved past initial community feedback
Taking feedback to JOHS
Using Clinton Triangle document as a base
Best way to give feedback is to attend the county meetings
Once it’s in place we will have a chance to review how it’s going and request changes
Questions that came up:
How do we know it is a success? A failure?
What are the key performance indicators? (See Clinton Triangel GNA Agreement)
Concern about crime
Communication Committee Update
Kat spoke of updating website with a cleaner logo and easier to use
Expect more of an update in June

Graffiti Clean up on 82nd Ave ideas
Secure a sponsorship for paint and supplies
KGW offers to paint over graffiti
Get community involvement
HS honor society? They usually need to give hours
Boyscouts?
Consider city resources
Look at the end of the Clinton GNA document, they have a list of city resources
Street Fair
There is space for MNA in Jacob’s booth. MNA needs to reimburse him for some of the fee
Raffle at table
Talked about giveaways and ticket price
Talk to vendors at market and put together a basket?
Year before we spent money but it turned out not to be worth it
In booth:
Provide info on who is allowed to be in MNA
Provide a map: “Do you live in this neighborhood?” (SE Uplift might already have this)
Create a shared document to include ideas for raffle giveaways and who has called who, etc.
Methodist church is have a rummage sale the day of the fair. MNA can help advertise on website
Fundraising
A previous successful one was a community trash day. Talk to Ron Thresher about this.
Suggested it for late summer or early fall
Question about Block Parties
How do we do this? Or can we create a Montavilla Block Party at a park or Methodist Church?
There is a Mayoral Mixer at Laurelhurst Club to meet the Mayor Candidates. There will also be a mixer to meet the candidates for district 3.
